Good Friday

Its Good Friday today and we stayed in hostel for basically the entire day because all things are closed for the day.
Fook went to paint and i stayed for trip planning and web updates.
We witness Santorini from quiet to crowded, people come to this little island to take a break for Easter holiday.
Our hostel owner says most shops & rests are closed for the Big Day (this is how greeks call it) but not hostels. Not that they dont want to but they need to take care of the tourists, like us.
They will go to a mass at 9pm tonight, so the reception closes by then.

So we tourists spoil a Friday, whereas it should have been His day.
Due that there is nothing in the area, we are kind of trapped in the hostel for the day as it is so far from the town centre, Fira.

At night we watch the "Joan of Arc" in Greek subtitles.
In the movie, in my todays observation, i keep thinking, wts wrong with us that we keep ourselves that busy?

To the degree tht we even spoil a quiet day of the Greeks.
It was hymn he was playing in his shuttle this morning, sounded like a bell ring to me.
So i pray, for everything.

In the photo, there was a giant ferry sailed by and left down a umm...yeah u know wt it is from the pic; So in tht scene i think, are we so busy that we kept sailing without turning our heads up, hear a bell ring from the cross?
It was far away from the sea indeed, but the cross were everywhere.
Close your eyes and find, and u will see it.

The way we gonna treat our dinner by the time goes on.
Eggs, breads, spaghetti...we will see how many varieties we can do with 1 gas stove, a tiny pan, a small boiler and using knife/fork as our turner......

The oil we r using is butter coz we dont prefer a 1L oil around to carry around.

it's been what, 5 days since we got here in Santorini. it sure is extremely relaxing, with beaches and ocean surrounding us in all degrees and endless blue sky...what more to ask? simple splendid.

life here is as quiet as its weather, calm and peaceful. but it gets a little dry.

people are very friendly and helpful. we speak more english than we were in the States. personally, i like speaking English here, because Greek people speaks even worse English than I do :P

Time bring everything away except here. Santorini is a place where time doesn't exsist.

how long we were here? right, 5 days...
